January 31, 2024 LBBA Meeting

This months meeting has been rescheduled for Wednesday, January 31st.

Everett Kaser, Wes Dickerman and Dave Matis will be speaking on Winter Care for your bees to get them thru the rest of winter.

Sept 20, 2023 LBBA Monthly Meeting

This months speaker will be Dr. Roland Solensky. He will be speaking on bee allergies.

Meeting starts at 6:30 at the Waldorf School in Corvallis.

August 16, 2023 LBBA Club Meeting

Judy Scher will be speaking on Winter Prep.

July 19th, 2023 LBBA Club Meeting

This months meeting will be on honey extraction. There will be a panel of club members speaking on procedures for removing your honey supers, uncapping your frames, extracting the honey and filtering.

Some of the club equipment will be there to see and be shown how to use it.

LBBA/LCBA 2023 Field Day

FULL!!! Sorry, registration has ended because we are at capacity.

The LBBA, in conjunction with the Lane County Beekeepers Association, is hosting the 2023 Field Day at the OSU Research Apiary on Sunday, June 25th.

There’s a limit of 30 attendees from the LBBA membership (and another 30 from the LCBA membership), so if you’re interested in attending, don’t wait!

Speakers will be Ramesh Sagili on Varroa Biology, Andony Melathopoulos on Brood Frame Grading, and Rick Olson on Making Nucs and Splits.

Besides those talks, we will also be opening up and examining some colonies.

Lunch will be available, for a fee, or you can bring your own.
