Welcome to LBBA

Meeting Location

We are back to meeting at the Corvallis Waldorf School. 

The address is: 3855 NE Hwy 20, Corvallis.

Meetings are the 3rd Wednesday of each month.  Times are 6:30-8:30.   See you there!!  (There will be no Zoom option for meetings)

Our goal is to provide an association of local beekeepers where we can learn, share and have fun. We have both local and national speakers at our monthly meetings providing you with current and relevant subjects to help you with your bees.

LBBA also provides outreach to the community by providing educational speakers, swarm removal and public exhibits.

Anyone is welcome at our meetings, we encourage you to become a paid member, but it is not required. We just want you to learn about bees! But….the benefits of joining include:

-Free use of the club’s extraction equipment

-Use of our book and DVD library

-Discount to Bee School

-Inclusion on Swarm List

-Discount to American Bee Journal magazine

2024 LBBA/LCBA Field Day

Looking for an exciting honeybee learning experience?  Sign up today for our annual field day. Attendance is limited due to the site capacity.

Date:  Sunday, June 23

Time:  9:00 to 3:00 (registration starts at 8:30)

Place:  Oak Creek Center for Urban Horticulture, 843 SW 35th St, Corvallis

There will be three speakers in the morning.  Small group, expert-led hive openings in the afternoon.  Lunch boxes can be purchased at time of website sign up. (Lunches are no longer available for purchase)   Parking lot will be across the street at 850 SW 35th St.

May 18th 2022, LBBA Meeting (In Person, No Zoom)

This months speaker will be Ellen Topitzhofer. The title of her talk is “Queen Cells Are The Future”. Please join us in a great evening of learning.

April 20th, 2022 LBBA Meeting (IN PERSON)

This months speaker will Dewey Caron. He will be talking about the Annual Bee Survey. Please plan to attend to get more information so that you can take part in the survey this year.
