Harry Vanderpool, commercial beekeeper from Salem will be speaking on winter prep.
Our honey bees are always one season ahead of us. While we all associate Sept 22 as the beginning of fall, the bees are entering winter. Besides wringing our hands, what can we do to give our bees every advantage? No matter what we do, or how good of a job we have done, all good beekeepers worry throughout the winter.
Lets set worry aside for an evening and talk bees at the September meeting!
This months speaker will be Dr. Sujaya Rao from OSU speaking on bumble bees.
This months speaker will be Kenny Williams.
He will be speaking on honey extraction. Learn helpful hints and techniques to make your extraction easier.
We will also have our club equipment at the meeting so you can see what we have available for use.
This months meeting will feature Dewey Caron. His title for the talk is “”Do You Have A Plan” – June & July Hive Management.
He will also bee sharing the results of the annual bee survey.
