Our guest speaker will be Amber Reese. She is currently in the Oregon Master Beekeeper program working towards her Master Level certification. Over last summer, she worked with Dr. Andony Melathopoulos at Oregon State University to develop a presentation for the new “Residential Beekeeping Best Practices Guidelines Extension Service Publication.” The guidebook is “designed to supplement beekeeping education by making people aware of specific management practices that greatly reduce the risk of residential beekeeping turning into either a private or public nuisance.”

This months speaker is Dr. Dewey Caron.

The subject of his talk is “What Are Your Bees Saying?”.

Next time you open your hive, you’ll have a better understanding of what’s happening in your hive.

Remember, we are NOT having a meeting the 3rd Wednesday of November because of Thanksgiving.  Also, no meeting in December.  Our next meeting will be in January on Wednesday the 16th. 

This months speaker will be Ramesh Sagili from OSU.

He will be discussing research project that are happening at the OSU Honey Bee Lab.

Also…. We will be having our annual honey tasting.  Please bring a small sample to put out for others to taste.
